Nov 6: Draft Parking and Loading amendments to the LUO
Wednesday, Nov 6, 9am-11am, Hawaii State Capitol, Basement Auditorium
The Department of Planning and Permitting is finalizing proposed updates to the Off-Street Parking and Loading section of our zoning code, and they want your help reviewing the proposal. As a stakeholder in our community who participated in the community outreach early on, they are pleased to invite you to a follow-up meeting to help them better understand your perspective on the proposal and answer any questions you may have.
Review the attached Draft Report and Draft Bill. The Report explains the substantive changes that are being made, and provides some justification for those changes. The Bill contains the technical regulatory changes across the Land Use Ordinance. They would appreciate it if you could review these documents, and prepare comments and questions that they can discuss at the follow-up meeting.

In case you missed it! Hawaii Business announced today that the 2019 CEO of the Year is our very own AIA Honolulu member Bettina Mehnert, FAIA with AHL.
In their write up they stated "Mehnert brings creativity, skill, passion and commitment to all that she does, including her innovative work as a nationally recognized architect and as a leader in helping Hawai‘i face the challenges of climate change."
