AIA Honolulu Committee
Join New Design for Risk and Resiliency Committee!
The Design for Risk and Resiliency Committee is a newly formed committee looking at issues affecting all parts of the state related to extreme weather and its effects. We are looking for members to participate on the committee to focus on issues related to specific sites around the island as well as specific conditions affected by climate change, sea level rise, and other risk factors facing our future.
The committee's objective is to have it's members and AIA Honolulu become the tip of the spear to lead our city through new visions of adaptation and innovation in response to the new challenges our environment presents.
Now is the time for our city's architects to rise and show why our community needs us! Architects must lead if the city is to flourish - in our absence, it will be taken over by the pure pragmatism of engineering and planning. Establish a new standard of architectural practice.. Involve yourself in the DfRR committee and be the future of architecture.
Interested? For questions or to join email Hale Takazawa, AIA, Committee Chair.
