Seeking your input on the regional planning processes

Take the Survey! The Department of Planning and Permitting (DPP) seeks input on your experience with the city’s Development Plans (DPs) and Sustainable Communities Plans (SCPs) revision process.

The DPs and SCPs for the eight planning regions are required by the City Charter.  The plans define the desired urban character, note the significant natural, scenic and cultural resources, and set priorities for the coordination of major development activities. The plans guide City zoning and land use approvals, infrastructure improvements, and private sector investment decisions.  Click here to learn more about the regional plans and planning process on DPP's website.

Under present ordinances, DPP is required to conduct periodic reviews of the DPs and SCPs after their adoption by the City Council. To evaluate the effectiveness of these periodic reviews, DPP has engaged an independent research consultant to conduct a brief survey to help evaluate how the scope, update, implementation and public review process for these plans could be improved.  Anyone who has participated in any part of a DP or SCP update, from initial public meetings to comments or testimony on final plan approval bills before the City Council, is encouraged to take this five minute survey.

Questions? Contact the independent research consultant at Hunter@Supersistence.org.
