Important Local Updates

Comment by Apr. 22! PVL Proposes Fee Increase for Licensing Fee & Compliance Resolution Fund

The Professional and Vocational Licensing Division (PVL) of the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA) and its sister agency, the Regulated Industries Complaints Office (RICO) are both funded by fees that support licensing and enforcement services. Those fees include (1) initial and renewal licensing fees (the PVL revenue source), and (2) compliance resolution fund fees (the RICO revenue source). Despite the DCCA’s continued efforts over the past ten years, operating costs are outpacing revenue generated from licensing fees. Therefore the PVL, is proposing to increase the initial and renewal licensing fee as well as the compliance resolution fund (“CRF”) fee for all the boards and programs that fall under PVL

Click HERE for the full memo explaining the reason for this increase.  Please read through it and email the PVL by April 22, 2016 with your question or concerns.
